Silver Lake Middle School is seeking an inclusion special education teacher to start as soon as possible.

 

Certification in Moderate Disabilities required. Wilson (level II) or Orton-Gilligham (associate, certified, or fellow) certification highly preferred; training opportunities available.

 

Duties include: supporting students with language learning disabilities in a general education setting or sub-separate setting, developing rigorous curriculum in ELA and Math that aligns with Mass Curriculum Frameworks, teaching social pragmatics, providing academic support within the LBLC and within inclusive settings, co-teaching, chairing annual IEP meetings, writing IEPs, completing progress notes, communicating with caregivers and outside providers, proctoring MCAS exams, and other duties to be assigned by building administration.

 

 

Salary range ($53,616 - $96,581) depending on successful candidates' degree(s) and years of experience with respect to the SLEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
